Katarina Lukec was born in 1992 in Bjelovar. She graduated from the Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences in Zagreb in 2017 with a degree in ethnology and cultural anthropology, as well as Croatian language and literature. In 2019, she completed the Restart School of Documentary Film and workshops on documentary and ethnographic film in Krško and Belgrade.
